Wer sich mit dem Thema Tortillas & Co. auskennt, Hut ab!

Erstens:
Eine Tortilla ist ein mexikanisches Fladenbrot (und auch ein spanisches Omlette, aber das ist jetzt Wurst).

Zweitens:
Wenn Tortillas gefüllt sind, bekommen sie einen anderen Namen: Burritos (spanisch = kleiner Esel). Die Füllung kann unter anderem Fleisch, Bohnen, Reis, Paradeiser, Avocado, Käse, grüner Salat, saure Sahne usw. sein. Wichtig ist, dass Burritos gefüllt werden und gerollt serviert werden.

Drittens:
Die Amerikaner nennen sie Wraps (von englisch to wrap, „wickeln, einhüllen“).

Viertens:
Wenn die Tortillas und die verschiedenen Füllungen einzeln serviert werden und die Hungernden den weichen Weizenteig individuell nach Lust und Laune füllen und rollen, dann sprechen wir über Fajitas. Fajitas bestehen ursprünglich aus gegrilltem Rindfleisch, Chili und Tortillas. Aber heutzutage sind die Variationen von Füllungen endlos.

Fünftens:
Wie es ausschaut, haben wir eindeutig Fajitas gegessen! 🙂

Zutaten   für 4 Personen:

fertiger Tortilla Teig
pro Person 12 dag Rindslungenbraten in Streifen geschnitten
ein gelber, ein roter und ein halber grüner Paprika
1 Zwiebel
Öl
Salz
Pfeffer aus der Mühle (schwarz)
1 Becher Sauerrahm
3 mittlere Paradeiser
Mais
Eisbergsalat
Käse

1. Das Fleisch in Etappen kurz und kräftig in Öl anbraten, auf die Seite stellen.
2. Die Zwiebel in feine Spalten schneiden und in den Bratenrückstand geben, die Zwiebel sollen sich mit dem Bratenrückstand vollsaugen.
3. Die Paprikastreifen zu den Zwiebeln in die Pfanne geben und mitrösten.
4. Zum Schluss das Fleisch wieder dazugeben und alles gut durchmischen.
5. Paradeiser in Würfel schneiden, salzen und pfeffern.
6. Käse reiben.
7. Den Eisbergsalat in feine Streifen schneiden.
8. Sauerrahm glatt rühren.
9. Alle Zutaten der Füllung (Mais, Paradeiser, Käse, Salat, Sauerrahm) in kleinen Schüsseln auf den Tisch stellen.

10. Die Tortillas erhitzen – siehe Packungsbeilage 😉 .
11. Den Teig befüllen: das unterste Drittel frei lassen, das braucht man zum Zusammenfalten. Die erste Schicht ist immer der Sauerrahm, danach nach Lust und Laune.
12. Falten und fertig!
